Introduction
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the E.ID application operated by PT Ekosistim Indo Digital.
By accessing or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. User Representations
- All registration information you provide is true, accurate, current, and complete.
- You will maintain the accuracy of such information and promptly update it as necessary.
- You have the legal capacity and agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
- You are not a minor under the laws of your jurisdiction.
- You will not access the Site using automated or non-human means, such as bots, scripts, or other automated tools.
- You will not use the Site for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Your use of the Site will not violate any applicable law or regulation.
If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future access to our services.
2. User Registration
You may be required to register an account on the Site. You agree to keep your account password confidential and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to remove, reclaim, or change a username if we determine, in our sole discretion, that such username is inappropriate, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
3. Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you (personally or on behalf of an entity) and PT Ekosistim Indo Digital (“we”), governing your access to and use of the e.id website, including any digital media, mobile site, or other connected applications controlled by us (“Site”).
By using the Site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all the terms and conditions set forth herein.
If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using the Site and must immediately discontinue access.
Additional terms or documents that may be posted on the Site from time to time shall be incorporated herein by reference. We reserve the right to make changes to these terms at any time and will update the Effective Date accordingly. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Use of the Site in any jurisdiction where such content or distribution is prohibited is at your own risk, and you are responsible for compliance with local laws.
4. Differences Between Identity and Domain
- Identity refers to the e.id domain, a Web3 domain based on blockchain technology that serves as a digital identity for users across various decentralized platforms. The e.id domain is not only an address, but also represents ownership of a secure, transparent, and verifiable digital identity.
- Domain in the general sense refers to Web2 domains such as .id, co.id, and others, which are used to access websites through the traditional DNS system and are managed by registrars and registries operating under a centralized system.
Users are expected to understand these differences, as each has distinct characteristics, functions, and management systems.
5. Identity Lifecycle
- Active Period: The identity remains active during its validity period (usually 1 year).
- Expired Period: After the active period ends, the identity enters an expired state for 90 days. It can still be renewed without any additional fees during this time.
- Cooldown Period: If not renewed during the expired period, the identity enters a cooldown period for 1 year. It cannot be renewed or purchased during this time.
- Deletion: After the cooldown period, the identity is deleted and removed from the system.
- Available for Registration: Once deleted, the identity becomes available again for public registration as a new identity.
We are not responsible for the loss of identity due to user negligence in renewing or understanding the lifecycle. Users are advised to regularly monitor their identity status and pay attention to notifications from us or the registrar.
6. Domain Verification
Domain verification is a process used to ensure that a domain is genuinely owned or controlled by the individual or entity claiming its ownership. Verification is done by matching the DNS TXT Record specified by our system. If the TXT Record configuration is successfully verified, the domain will receive a blue checkmark indicating its verified status.
This verification status is valid for one (1) year from the date the verification is approved. You are required to renew the verification status before the validity period expires. If not renewed, the verification status will be automatically revoked and the blue checkmark will be removed from the domain.
Domain verification aims to provide public assurance that the domain is genuinely owned by a legitimate individual or company, thereby enhancing credibility and preventing identity misuse or fraud.
7. Email Client
The Email Client is an email service provided within the e.id ecosystem to support user communication. The email is verified as the official email of the user as it is directly linked to their e.id identity.
- You are prohibited from using the mail client for spam, distribution of illegal content, fraud, or other harmful activities.
- You do not renew the email client service.
- The user’s digital identity is revoked or not renewed.
- There is a serious violation of the usage policy.
- Access to the mail client will be temporarily suspended for 15 days. Users may request account recovery during this 15-day grace period.
- If no recovery request is made, the account will be permanently deleted. After permanent deletion, all data in the mail client cannot be restored.
8. Purchase and Payment

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date account and payment information for each transaction. You also agree to promptly update related data such as email address, payment method, and card expiration date to ensure smooth processing.
Taxes and shipping fees will be added as required. If the purchase is recurring, you agree to automatic billing until you cancel it.
We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, reject orders, or limit quantities at our discretion, including for reasons of fraud prevention or system misuse.
9. Identity Misuse
Any form of identity misuse using the e.id domain, including but not limited to impersonation, fraud, or other harmful actions, can be reported via email to: support@corp.e.id.
We will conduct an internal investigation for every submitted report and reserve the right to take necessary actions, including identity suspension, domain revocation, or reporting to the relevant authorities. Reports will be handled based on available evidence and our internal policies.
10. Account Suspension or Deletion
We reserve the right to suspend or delete user accounts that violate the law, public decency, or engage in activities containing elements of ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup conflict (SARA). This includes, but is not limited to, identity and domain misuse for trademark violations, spoofing, phishing, and other manipulative acts. These actions are taken to maintain the integrity of the service and the safety of the user community.
11. Refund Policy
Completed transactions cannot be canceled unless there is a legal violation or a breach of these terms.
If approved, refunds will be processed within 7 business days using a payment method determined by us, even if it differs from the original payment method. We reserve the full right to decide the method considered safest and most appropriate.
Only the base price will be refunded; service fees, third-party charges, or promotional items are non-refundable. If you received credits or gifts in the purchase, you must return the related identity to our account and forfeit rights to the promotional item.
Identities and domains purchased with promotional credits are not redeemable for cash and cannot be exchanged in any form, even if errors occur during the purchase process.
12. Verification with Vida
In terms of the identity verification process for the purpose of the purpose of account creation and access to digital services, your personal data in the form of demographic and/or biometric data will be checked for conformity, by PT Indonesia Digital Identity (VIDA) as our partner, with data recorded in the system of the government agency authorised to issue the relevant identity. If your personal data is verified for conformity, then VIDA as the Certification Authority certified by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, will issue a digital certificate as evidence that your personal data has been verified and is in accordance with the data recorded in the system of the government agency authorised to issue the identity. You will use this digital certificate to perform digital signing on the VIDA Subscriber Agreement document or this Terms and Conditions. Therefore, you guarantee the accuracy of the personal data you provide and agree to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of issuing digital certificates and other services attached to digital certificates performed by VIDA.
You have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions of the Certification Authority’s service contained in the Subscriber Agreement, CA Privacy Policy, and VIDA's Certification Practice Statement which can be accessed via https://repo.vida.id
13. Verification with Privy
For the purpose of identity verification in connection with account registration and access to digital services, your personal data, including demographic and/or biometric information, will be validated and cross-checked by PT Privy Identitas Digital (Privy) as our authorised partner. Such verification will be conducted by comparing your data with records maintained within the system of the competent government authority responsible for issuing identity documents. If your data is confirmed to be consistent, Privy, as a Certification Authority licensed by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia, will issue a Digital Certificate as legal evidence that your identity has been successfully verified. You hereby confirm that the personal data you provide is accurate and grant your consent for its processing for the issuance of a Digital Certificate and related services, including the use of electronic/digital signatures.
You acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the terms and conditions governing the Certification Authority services as set forth in the Subscriber Agreement, CA Privacy Policy, and Certification Practice Statement issued by Privy, which are available on Privy’s official website.
